I have a mountain of ties that I have collected for a tie quilt. Now, I can't make up my mind just how to use them. Have any of you made a quilt for men's ties? Show me yours. Maybe I can get some fresh ideas. Thanks

When my father-in-law passed away I made a pillow for my sister-in-law, nephew and husband using his ties, I also did a little poem on the back. They all cried when they opened them.

Ties and buttons from his shirts and coats

I love the pillow. that is so neat. These were ties that I bought at auctions and yard sales. So, there is no family tie.(no pun intended)
I'd like to see more.

I've seen them done in Dresden Plate, strip pieced (which is one of my favorites for ties) and used in an art quilt with the ties "hanging" at different heights. Wish I had taken a pic.
