I just learned a tip that I like to share.
Before you send out your quilt to be quilted on a long arm or guilting it on your own machine, you could sew an extra border of muslin on, make it 4inches.
when you quilt, it shrinks up alittle and your quilt might not square up. but you have that extra there to use. Cut it off what you don't need and what you use will get tucked in the binding.
I took a class on machine quilting from an award winning quilt maker who has won at AQS. So it was very interesting the things that you can do to make it easier to quilt. My goal is to quilt one of my tops before every 2 that I start to peice.
