Tip did not work for me
I had read that if you cut one inch off the corners of your fabric before washing -- it would not ravel. Look what happen when I tried it... Has anyone been successful doing this one good thing the color catcher worked great

I use pinking shears or a pinking blade in my rotary cutter. NO strings at all.
Here is a pair of pinking shears https://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt...yfp-t-401&fp=1
They can be bought at JoAnn Fabrics or Hancocks, maybe even Wal Mart or Hobby Lobby.

I take a snip off, and it may help a little. I used to serge the edges and that works.

I just made wool dryer balls (see http://www.diynatural.com/how-to-make-wool-dryer-balls) and have discovered that with them my fabric is now coming out with no additional fraying beyond what happens in the washer and fewer wrinkles.

Okay Nai Nai, you got me going on these balls. How many do you use and how large did you make them?
I have used the corner snip myself and yes it frays but the fray is shorter and usually doesn't wad up with the rest of the fabric you are doing and doesn't make a big ball, so it does work for that, but won't stop fraying itself.
