Tonga Back to Nature quilt....wedding quilt saga...part 4
#22
There is quite a bit more. I have been travelling a lot in the past two months. The kids have set the date for March 2012 (the actual day will be figured when Mama Navy says he can be there)!
I went to visit my son at his apt where he is stationed and he came home for a few weeks as he is off to Afghanistan again very soon. I didn't work on the quilt while they were here, hope to get started on it again this week.

I am working on block #7 which has 77 pieces. Hope to get it finished by tomorrow. My BOM quilt shop day is April 6 but I like to give myself a couple extra days. We can't get ahead as we don't have the fabric until we go to the shop and get our pieces for the next month which is free if you have finished the previous month.

This is the block that appeals to me--not so the 2nd block.
I would make this the center panel on all the blocks but the corners on only the first block as you have it. Then only on one side of the next blocks that attach to this first block. In that way I would cut down on the busy-ness of the pattern. Also the border would be the fabric of the bride-to-be in strips rather than the flying geese--but I have never figured out why I need to cut a pattern from one print just to sew it back together along the sides I just cut.-- I know it's goofy. I just can't make myself do that. I do love this pattern and have filed it in my someday quilt file.

I would check to see if the quilt designer has a website or blog with an errata page.
