This is the block that appeals to me--not so the 2nd block.

I would make this the center panel on all the blocks but the corners on only the first block as you have it. Then only on one side of the next blocks that attach to this first block. In that way I would cut down on the busy-ness of the pattern. Also the border would be the fabric of the bride-to-be in strips rather than the flying geese--but I have never figured out why I need to cut a pattern from one print just to sew it back together along the sides I just cut.-- I know it's goofy. I just can't make myself do that. I do love this pattern and have filed it in my someday quilt file.
