Default Travel hand work kit

What are you guys using. I need ideas for when I go camping, I really could have done some handwork this weekend. I am thinking of making a small needle turn pillow kit and looking for good storage ideas

I take quilt as you go single blocks and hand quilt them. It's a doable size project and you can take as many blocks as you want. They don't take up much space and just a hoop ,scissors, needle, thread and thimble. I use just ziplock bags they are portable and keep moisture free whatever is in the bag. Love that they hand quilt quickly and go back in the bag. Before you know it you have the entire quilt hand quilted!!

I would use a large tin or plastic container to keep out the insects and dirt.

Depending on how big you want to go, you could use a child's metal lunch box, customized with plastic veg containers and baggies on the inside. I also carry a battery-operated book light with a clip on one end for those darker situations. Keeps things clean and uncrushed and not too heavy itself. I use mine for hexis or embroidery.

I take along my GFG project in a small plastic bin. Not the big quilt top, just the hexies and supplies so I can make more flowers.
