Default Ideas, please, for 5"xWOF strips

I got a Secret Sister gift from the Fat Quarter Shop - a bundle of 27 strips of 5"xWOF fabric.

While the obvious thing might be to cut each strip into (two) 2 1/2" strips, or into 5" (nickle) squares:
DOES ANYONE HAVE SOME IDEAS OR LEADS TO FREE PATTERNS?

There are patterns for jelly rolls, turnovers, etc. - are there books for this precut?
I am soooo overthinking this and find myself mentally log-jammed ....

    Thanks!

1 - you could do a jelly roll race (1600") type quilt.
2- check out ModaBakeShop.com - these cuts are called Dessert Rolls. Check under Bakery to see this cut, they have a link to patterns using that size.
3- be sure to show us what you do! Good luck.

oh, looked at the ModaBakeShop patterns, not much for that size - sorry

but, then reading some more thread here on QB, wandered over to Quilters World magazine site. Check out the current issue page, under creative pieces, running stripes - that would be a simple thing to do with your pieces - don't really even need the pattern. sort of like a stacked coins

3 DUDES QUILTING has a free pattern called Majestic Mountains. They use 2 1/2" strips, but you can use any size you want and end up with bigger blocks. Also Missouri Star Quilt Shop (Jenny Doan) also used 3 Dudes Quilt pattern making her's bigger. Your ending squares will be larger, but who cares. It is a really cool pattern.

There is a book I found from my local library, Two From One Jelly Roll Quilts by Pam and Nicky Lintott.
I would check your local library, also most quilt guilds have their own personal library.

Check out Missouri Star Quilt Company on Utube. Jenny shows how to make pinwheels from 5" Squares. I made one it was fun to do and easy.

You could do a nine patch. Sew three rows together and then cut them into blocks. It's fast this way. Or what about the turning 20 quilt.
