Default Tula Pink's City Sampler

For any of you that have done this I'd appreciate your opinions, please! Could be my next sampler project when the Splendid Sampler is done. I really like doing a block at a time!

Enjoy your day!

A couple years ago we did this book for our "modern club." We did a a few blocks a month, over a year's time. The blocks were quick to do and there are so many neat ways to set them. I never made a whole big quilt like others. I made a few wallhanging size quilts using the blocks.

Thanks, Lori. It does look pretty easy, but fun!

One of the people I follow in Instagram is doing a block a day. I have the book but haven't started yet. When I do I might try one or two blocks a week. Need to finish my Farmer's Wife sampler first.

I have all the blocks cut from batik scraps with some of the blocks sewn...another on my UFO list...yes no stress piecing and a pleasant departure from traditional blocks.

We did it a BOM at my LQS. We did I believe as 6 blocks per month with the 4 extras. I did mine in batiks and modified one of the layouts in the book to make a King Size quilt. It was a lot of fun to see everyone's version as well as the names people come up with for their blocks. A couple of people even did 2 sets.

I'm digging the Gypsy Wife pattern by Jen Kingwell. I may start it next year. I have to finish The Splendid Sampler first.

I just found this post. I have done 64/64 blocks and framed each. I am putting together the Trellis setting.

Did you start this?
