Wow! I didn't realize how many quality tutorial sites are available. Thanks for your suggestions. Occasionally I drop in on blogs from across the world for a broader range of inspiration.

I'm an inter-active learner. I've always had issues with pictorial directions. It has something to do with my visual perspective. I remember my first on-point applique quilt. I couldn't place the blocks correctly. I just couldn't see the pattern for the block placement. I had to ask my sister-in-law for help. I have since resolved that issue, but it was a stumper at the time.

I like MSQC and purchase a lot from them, but Jenny's tuts leave me hesitating. I love her personality but much of the stuff she does makes me want to run screaming. For example she presses her blocks from the top side rather than the back and she often presses one on top of another! I learned not to do that in my first few months of quilting! Only recently has she learned to use a rotating quilt mat. They have been available for years. And she actually counts the individual grid squares on her cutting mat as she cuts out her blocks or strips! I also think her stuff is pretty much for beginners.

I like Bonnie Hunter's techniques but most of her stuff is just too busy looking for my taste.

My all time favorite is Eleanor Burns. If she says it, believe it! Her demos and books are super easy to follow and there is something to learn whether one is a beginner or advanced quilter. She is my all time favorite!
