Favorite notions: rotary cutter (Olfa ergonomic), Omnigrip rulers, clover mini iron with interchangeable tips and magnetic pin holder, tweezers, clover seam ripper and stiletto which are square and don't roll and glass head pins; also Panasonic iron.

Absolutely useless: Martelli rotary cutters, chalk pounce, Golden Threads quilt paper.

I love the Martelli rotary cutters. Maybe it's because both thumbs are/were 'double' jointed & now they don't like bending at all cause. It USED to be fun to amaze children with how I could bend them to impossible positions. NOW I'm paying for it.
I tried them at the 1st show where I saw them, & immediately bought one plus extra blades - GREAT introductory price back then, especially on the blades.

I have bought several different kinds of thimbles, but none work as well as the old metal ones.

The one that presses the straight or bias cut strips. It is wonderful. I did each size I figured I would use with a coupon at JoAnns. It is great for a lot of uses. To make a great purse handles use the webbing and cut fab to contrast or match bags and then add the 1/2 in bonding and place on the webbing and then top st....
