Default How close to quilt?

I buy the polyester batting by the roll. It does not have any info of how close to do the quilting . Does anyone have any suggestions of how close I should do my quilting ? Thank you .

Generally polyester is pretty stable so I would quilt at least every 4 to 5 inches because that is the way I like my quilts. I still go with the old standard of no area larger than my hand un-quilted.

I like more rather than less quilting on my quilts, no matter what the batting.

it really depends on the brand- where you buy it from- if you purchase bolts of polyester batting from joannes the web site will tell you under 'description' how close to quilt- often 4" is a fairly safe guess if you can not find any information.
