I thought we were going to listen to music at Brat Fest, but my husband isn't feeling that well. So...I'll be binding a baby quilt and working on my Moda Building Blocks kit. Maybe I'll start on a table runner too.

I got both of my shelves put together. They are just the short 3 shelf ones but, of course, I put one side on wrong and had to take 4 screws out. Oh well.

I did work on some of my HST's also.

It's time to read for a while. I subbed 5 days this week and today I was in first grade. It was flashlight/pajama day and we also released some butterflies. Then throw in a power outage. Oh my! It didn't help when the principal came in and told the students there were flashlights by the bathrooms if they needed to use the bathroom. Of course, then she saw that the children had flashlights and we chuckled over the fact they didn't need them because most of them had their own. Well, you know what happened next. About 1/2 of the class needed to go because they wanted to use their flashlights in the bathroom. So I took all 21 of them to the bathroom and that just wound them up more. Lol.

I hope to get a few veggies planted while the weather is cool. It has been raining off and on the last two weeks. That is okay as we have been in a drought. I hope to get out to my quilting room and work on a baby quilt needed between July and August. I just finished a tote bag in sports fabrics (guess baseball and soccer) requested by our daughter to use when going to our grandkids baseball and soccer games. I have photos, but will have to figure out how to attach them. I have not been active on the quiltingboard site in a long time. I love the idea of your VQW. Maybe I can pick up on a couple quick and easy projects too...and get them made for Country Store - a fundraiser in Dec for our Hospital Auxiliary.

Wow, what a beautiful butterfly quilt, Cathy... Your brown checkerboard (so far) quilt is looking good, too.

We have a long weekend here also but it's my daughter and husband's birthdays so I'm not sure how much sewing I will get done. I am aiming to but the bottom pieces on my Tumbling Block quilt and if I could get the strips sewn together that would be a bonus. My sewing room is such a mess that I must get some sorting done. I am following the 15 minute rule, I go in and spend 15 minutes sorting. It is slowly getting there. Will post pictures of quilt in progress later. Thanks Raggiemom for organising .

Cathy, I like your work space, kind of looks like mine, with many projects waiting in the wings. I think your sewing machine cover is coming along great. I also like your sewing machines on your other pics. We also "collect" sewing machines.

Good morning everyone - I slept a bit late, it's nice to do that once in a while. I have a full time job so have to get up most mornings. My husband is a late sleeper - he'll get up around 7 am and make breakfast for us.

Got scattered showers in the forecast, so we'll see how much gets done in the garden. I also want to get some work done in teh Machine Shed (sewing machines, that is) and DH only has a bit more electrical work in the workroom to finish, and then I can get my work bench moved out there. It's soooo nice to have half the sewing machines moved out of the house now and have room to move around without stepping over or stubbing toes on a vintage machine LOL!!

We also had chicks starting to hatch out last night - will be fun to see how many we get. They are under a hen so I don't have to worry about them. She had 11 developing eggs when we candled them last weekend.

I'd better get up to my sewing room - will check in later to see how everyone is doing today.

I hope to get the cutting table cleared off, have been working on putting sashing on misc. groups of "orphans" to use up on part of quilt backings. Then I'm going to start making up new leader cloths for my Hinterberg. Got some blue and white ticking that I think(hope?) will work out.
