Glad you're all joining me. I quilted two quilts today and got 5 table runners cut out and ready to work on tomorrow. I'm meeting some ladies at a LQS for an Open Sew and want to make sure I don't get bored

For the Canadians, why is it a long weekend? Enjoy it!

Two great quilts GingerK....very clever 9 patch....and don't you just LOVE the DHG??!! Just watched her DHG2 version video today and can't wait to give it a try.
I have 20 Christmas stockings to make --- in a cowboy boot pattern i drew up - so hoping to get started on those this weekend -- OR start on the quilt for my Dad. Got a GREAT fabric --- but now i am having a hard time trying to decide what pattern will best highlight it....OOOOhhh...can i post a picture here and get suggestions???
Thanks again Heather for hostessing the VQW. It always gives me a push to get things going/done.

Please all you clever folks...here's the fabric...
So far, all i've come up with is Attic Window - maybe a large frame in the center using the entire motif -- then smaller frames around that breaking up the different animals.
ANY suggestions for pattern would be very much appreciated.

Checking in finished the last two leaves, corner rectangles and cut All the sashing strips for the Shakespeare's Leaves quilt. Will decide in the color layout and begin attaching sashing tomorrow. Closing door to sewing room for today.

That fabric would make a beautiful Fracture pattern. Here's an example. And, a free pattern to boot.

I agree, the fracture pattern would be awesome with this piece. I'm hoping I can join you this weekend -- I don't have to rake hay this weekend but I do have to go to Wally World for my Mom, and probably spray weeds for a while but I really want to put 3 borders on the scrappy quilt I've been working on.

So glad I saw this - I'm joining in, too. Tonight I'm hand sewing the binding on a UFO that is four years old. This top sat for a couple of years waiting to be quilted, and has waited another couple for binding. I'll post a pic when done. Not sure what I will work on after that. I have several projects in progress.

I have some similar wildlife fabric. I'm going to use this pattern: https://creativesewlutions.danemcowe...ct/shenandoah/.

Maybe it would work for you, too.
