I will be visiting my sister in Arizona later this month. She is not a quilter so I am wondering if anyone can tell me where the best quilt shops are around the Mesa, Queen Creek, areas.
Would love to visit some of them. Thanks, Peggy

see this post about a shop in Phoenix.

I've been successful finding quilt shops in unfamiliar areas by googling "quilt shops in ______" - good luck!

I'm not familiar with Queen Creek area, but here's a few:
1. Mulqueens Sewing center has about 2 locations in Mesa
2. 35th Ave Sew and Vac in Chandler (Ray & Rural)
3. Zoe's Trunk on Alma School Rd in Chandler
4. Quilters Ranch on Warner in Tempe
5. 3 Dudes Quilting Inter 10 & Elliot in Ahwautkee
Of course theres a JoAnns Fabric in Mesa (Riverview Mall) and Hobby Lobby store in area.

This should keep you busy during your visit, I know they get all my money. Enjoy your stay.

Thanks so much I will be sure to check them out. I can't go a whole week without my quilting fix.

Its not the closest to where you are, but Quiltz is my favorite. It is just north of 32nd Street and Thunderbird off the 51. I can get you better directions if you like. I vote 2nd for 3 Dudes. I 'have' to run in there whenever I do an IKEA run!

My absolute favorite LQS in Phoenix is:

35th Ave Sew and Vac / 35Th Ave Fabric World
Phoenix Location
3548 W. Northern Ave Phoenix, AZ 85051
(35th Ave and Northern)
602-841-5427 | 877-242-6282
M-F 9-6 Sat 9-5 Sun 10-4

It's HUGE! I haven't been to their Chandler location, but it's got to be good too.

And now, thanks to Peggi, I've got a list of others I haven't found as yet, to visit next time I'm in the valley too.
