Want New Sewing Machine-Need Advise
#11
May I add to your feature list? I have a Babylock Symphony, and I love how you can set up the machine to automatically lift the pressure foot every time I let off the gas. Something I would have never thought about, but comes in very handy to remove pins just before sewing over seams, etc., or to turn the corner.
Good luck and let us know which machine you decide on. By the way, I agree with others about the dealer being very important for service and lessons.

I would get yourself to the largest quilt show in your area and test drive all the sewing machine at the show.. That is also a good place to get a bargain on a sewing machine. Good Luck and have fun.

Thank you, everyone, for your advise. I will let you know what machine I finally decide on. After I made my initial post I thought of another thing I need to consider; I currently live in WA but we are in the process of moving to Granite, OK, a very small town in Southwestern OK so I will to take into consideration what the closer local sewing center are carrying and sewing classes offered.
