After more than 40 years and millions of stitches on a sewing machine - I just sewed through my finger! The needle broke into 4 pieces, so just a small piece was left in my finger; I got away from my project - so no blood on it. I pulled the little piece and went to the kitchen to clean up. The 2 men in my house got a little pale when I told them about it.

Oooo, sorry! Make sure all pieces come out and your tetanus is up to date (if you haven't had in 10 yrs, you need it). But if you had a tetanus only shot over two years ago, you could get Tdap (Adacel) which would also protect against diptheria and whooping cough (pertussis). If you are around kids, it's a good idea.
