What can I do with cotton velveteen?
I have five different colors of cotton velveteen that I'm not quite sure what to do with. I think it could be used in crazy quilting but I don't do that type of design and I don't want to make pillows. Suggestions? FYI I have 1yd black, 1 1/4 yd blue, 1 yd wine red, 3 yd total burgandy, and 1 yd raspberry.

Tote, wall hanging, lap quilt, etc.
It would do quite nicely in a large square D9P, rail fence, or similar simple square or rectangle design.
Take advantage of the beautiful fabric! Use it in good size chunks...no little bitty pieces.

How about a disappearing 9 patch? The colors would be beautiful together. You could embroider on them if you wanted, and you could add braid or trim/lace if you wanted to make it appear to be a crazy quilt. If you want to incorporate some satins or silks, a good cream or black would be great. Good luck, post pics. Linda

Great ideas! Once you piece the front leave out the batting and back it with something like remnant sateen, or cotton. Tie it or use big stitch quilting then bind it. Very glamorous throw for a chair or couch.
