How about a disappearing 9 patch? The colors would be beautiful together. You could embroider on them if you wanted, and you could add braid or trim/lace if you wanted to make it appear to be a crazy quilt. If you want to incorporate some satins or silks, a good cream or black would be great. Good luck, post pics. Linda
If I made a lap quilt wouldn't both sides have to be out of the velveteen? I would think it would be way heavy both sides velveteen but uneven in weight if only the top or back was velveteen. Sigh. I think I'm just going to offer it up to someone.
