I had a bad cold, cleaned on my sewing room a bit and then watched football and fell asleep, then watched more football.

I made MORE items from the Princess fabric......dolly quilt, bed pillow, pillowcase and totebag. Did clean up the sewing area, got out the unfinished NICU quilts - that is the next goal. THEN, will start my brothers quilt for THIS year's present. My goal/resolution for this year is to not wait till the last minute and become so stressed out that quilting isn't any fun. So - quilting lots this year, and taking time to sip the wine as well.

I worked on my NYE Mystery quilt. Still not done, but it's getting there.

You mean there is something else to do on New Year's Day other than watch football? All of my life & I do mean since I was born New Year's day is a day for football and left-overs (no cooking other than heating the left-overs). I am 57 years old now - so it a long standing family tradition. Since I can't sit still for long - even for football - I was crocheting the last scarf for my youngest daughter.

I went shopping at Joanns, then went to my quilt group's holiday party. It was a nice day.

Spent the day with 2 DD's, son-in-law, & 3 grandkids. Went hiking at Mt. Lassen. It was a gorgeous day and we couldn't stand to stay inside. It was a glorious way to start the new year!

I sure hope you are wrong about what you do on Jan 1 is what you do all year. I had carpal tunnel surgery on my right hand Friday after having it two weeks ago on the left. So what I did on Jan 1 was deal with too much physical pain. I laid around and rested all day.

Man I hope that isn't true. I was stuck in a car on my way to fl for a funeral. Unless that means I will spend more time with my long distance family I don't want to be soing this all year.
