Check out http://www.modabakeshop.com and browse "recipes" that use charm squares.
There are many interesting ideas out there. I am sure you will find the perfect project.

I am working with 5" squares right now, making half triangle squares HTS
there are books out working with 5" charm squares, do a google and you should find something, all the group here will give you lots of ideas too, :)

there are a couple really good books out there called NICKLE QUILTS...they use 5" squares...thus the nickle :)
do a search and you will find lots of patterns for nickles...and charm pack books would use the same 5" squares because charm packs are 5" squares.
