I can get Hugesnet for about $60/month....don't know if I really want another dish on the house and thats alittle steep for me. I only pay $8.00/mo now and don't really spend alot of time online, usually just in AM

I had high speed for years and just gave it up. Too expensive now that I have watched all the quilting videos on quilterstv and qnntv.
Now I just need it for email, the board and shopping so dial up is fine. I read quilting novels while waiting or do chores or Cut fabric etc.

Satellite is too expensive for us. I have, on occasion, driven to our library in town to view pictures when someone sends them. It's quicker than waiting for the download!

Gee, I never thought of cleaning while waiting!! Don't tell my husband that's possible, okay? LOL

Now I'm really lol. Thought I was the only one dealing with dial up! FYI--it's faster tonight and I can speed (ha) through some of the pics! I live down in the valley--neighbors 1 mile away have satellite. I wouldn't trade my valley for anything--lots of spring flowers now.

jbud2--our daughter's first job was in the York Co Ext Office as a 4-H livestock specialist. I remember when she and I moved her out there. She gave me the front seat and a spot for a small piece of luggage!! She enjoyed her stay there.

I remember those days! I hate dial up and I'll gladly pay to have high speed, after all, my time is worth something

I am on a roll--tonight I sewed binding on May Doll Swap quilt, a sample for the LQS, and another mini. Have 2 Alzheimer's mini's to work on, too! Makes me want to love dial-up lol
