What quilt design do you choose and why?

I want to try my luck and machine quilting. How do you decide which design to use? Thus far I have either tied or ditched stitched.

I usually try to tie my quilt designs into the theme of the quilt. Then I go to http://www.quiltingcreations.com or http://www.quiltingstencils.com to look for some stencils.

Leaders and Enders-This is very neat. If you already use a leader and an ender why not create something as you are already using these scrap fabrics. Check these quilts out! Beautiful and the fabric was not wasted and you created an extra quilt while
