My DDIL likes scrap quilts and I'm thinking of making her a scrappy double or triple Irish Chain quilt...but I definitely don't have the quantity/variety of scraps that would be needed. Do people ever buy charm packs (or ???) to get a nice variety? It looks like they might be 2" squares...

Thanks in advance!

Did somebody say "charm packs"? They are typically 5-inch squares but you can cut them down to 2.5 inches each.

do you have some friends that sew? Just ask for some or swap with others. People on this board are very generous. If you have a color way or preference. Just post it in the classified/swap section of the board. :-)

I made a double Irish chain scrappy and everyone who sees it loves it. They turn out so pretty. I used whatever came my way! Some of the fabric was pretty ugly in a large piece but cut down it made the grade. :-D

The kitty pillow belongs to my daughter!

Wow, that's beautiful! Exactly the type that inspired me. What size are your little squares?

Ask in the classifieds!

I think they are about 2 inches finished. It is not here to measure and I did it several years ago!
