This was the hexagon covered pincushion that I made and covered an old pincushion that I bought at a craft show.

I found the pattern online for the basic pincushion but I made hexagons to cover mine.

    Hi,

I have never done doll quilts yet? Are you piecing my hand or by machine?

I'm finishing up two tiger quilts for my grandson and a D9P baby quilt. Just got two tops finished and am working on the third. Then I'll set up for quilting and see how it goes. The tiger quilts are my own design using panels that my grandson chose. No pics yet but hope to post when I'm finished.

I just finished making new six pot holders with all the left over bits that were cut 1-1/2" and most no longer than 5". Felt good to get that project out of my head!

I'm fnishing the Triple Irish Chain squares, and I started another floral log cabin. Once the Triple is done, I'm going to start a wall hanging that has applique' (horses!!) so I'm nervous about it--it's making me step out of my comfort zone. I bought enough fabric to make four--one for me and three to give away. (If they're nice enough.)

I am working on a Quilt for Kids top - want to finish it this week and send it in.

Also in progress is a Friendship Braid top for my DD's 1st wedding anniversary gift this July. This is kinda boring to piece, so I only do a a little at a time. No rush. The pattern is from a book ---- something something Jelly Rolls --- I really don't want to run upstairs right now to get it.... the sofa is mighty comfy.

Hand quilting a crayon quilt - my own design - with nursery rhyme characters. It is a 2010 Christmas gift for my GD - she will be 3 this year.

    aaawwww....the pieceful life.
