The tan patches with the designs are from a quilt by thimbleberries you were supposed to color them with crayons and put borders on them. I made two quilts from similar patches.

The second picture has the center squares of a Thimbleberries quilt of 3 or 4 years ago. We painted them, embroidered them, used crayons to color them...whatever you wanted to do to add color and then we added borders to make the squares. The first ones, probably used in the same way...center of a block.

I have a friend that saw these and wanted to know if you wanted to part with them.

the tan squares were indeed from a Thimbleberries Block of the month club. There were 12 and each one was symbolic of the month. The doves with the heart were February, the rabbit was April. the name of the pattern and BOM club was 'Vintage Stitches' My Mother in law was making this quilt (along with about 24 others) before she passed on. I have each monthly kit of fabric tied up with a little string - but unfortunately not the directions!

Oh, I just came across this posting on Ebay - it is the whole quilt that someone made with the little panels.

You can color them with crayons, do needlework, or use as is.
