    I like all the suggestions. It does depend on the kind of silk it is. I have a one yard piece of a beautiful green that will become a whole cloth quilt. Lots of machine quilting!!!

    i used to buy silk scraps all the time... for 3/4 yd i could get the front of a sleeveless shell... i could only wear with suits, but i wore them all the time at work... and of course, it was only a few pcs of silk before i realized i could get 2 silk shirts by using 2 different remnants and making them scoop neck and wearing both directions... great for travelling... twice the outfits! and cheaper too...
