Once in a while a dear friend asks me to write up a pattern for a table runner or other little quilt. Does anyone know a software program that has squares, triangles and the like for drawing the illustrations? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

    EQ6 might work for you.

Their less expensive Quilt Wizard program may work too. It depends on how complex your patterns are, as well as the borders.

Thanks, littlehud. I just did a search on EQ6--lots of info there to get me going. What do you like about it and why do you think it would work for me?

If you put eq6 in our search field you will be able to read a lot about it. There are some users that do very well with it and they have posted on these.

I use my EQ5 for the pictures I use in my Ebooks. I love it!

When I write up a pattern, I usually just trace the pattern pieces on the page for the illustrations. It works out very well.
