Where do you spray baste?

I've never done it, but since the spray is washable, the one I use anyway - why not tape your fabric to the back wall of a shower/tub enclosure and spray it there - should come off in the next shower or on cleaning day. Guess I'll have to try it.

You should do your spray basting outside because of the fumes, if this isn't possible be sure to have good ventilation. With a large plastic drop cloth for painting you can layer a large quilt top, batting and backing on it. Save the drop cloth for future use.

If I'm doing a small quilt, I use my kitchen table. I put down cardboard first. I angle the spray towards the quilt and spray in a grid pattern. I don't have any problem with overspray. Larger quilts I do on banquet tables at the community center where hubby works. I spray the same way. You don't need to spray too heavily, it holds pretty well.
