Odd that you ask, as I received an order from CT yesterday. I thought I had ordered the wrong color thread, as my white looked beiges too! But I used it on a green/white background and it blends in nicely.

The hardest shades in the world two match are black and white as no two are ever the same

Navy and black also fall into that category.

Two different spools so I figure they both can't be labelled wrong.
YES I have noticed it is not nearly as white as other brands but I do like to use it unless I have a snow white fabric then I will not use it on that fabric.

I just purchased several spools of thread from CT this past year, both cotton and poly in a few colors. My spool of white does appear ivory but once its through the needle and meets fabric, it looks white. I have been very pleased with their product and I believe there was a post regarding CT quality and affordability here on the board.

I have only had trouble with red thread bleeding into white fabric and
Could never get it out, tried everything!!
Lesson learned! Who would check thread to see if it bleeds?? Ido now!
