Hubby has given me about 10 pair of denim work pants to try to work with. They are by Wrangler and the stretch denim. Any ideas of what I can do with them to make him a quilt?

You could do a block quilt with denim and bandannas, cut in whatever size blocks you wish.

You can do a sort of faux cathedral windows with them. Cut circles out of the denim and then use a square that just comes to the edge of the circle to mark them. Sew them together with the flaps all on one side. Put a square of fabric on top of the circle as you sew the flaps down over it.

Found a pattern page for you.

I have made loads of rag quilts with them because everyone loves how heavy they are! There's also a fake easy cathedral pattern one I started. It was so unusual.

Are the rag quilts the kind where the seam is on the outside and frayed?

Here is the site with the instructions for a quilt I have started with cut out jeans. It's fast, easy and fun!

Yes. you just sew squares or whatever together. Leave an inch seam on the front side and snip them. I even have doubled the squares and used thin batt for weight and we use them at football games and holiday parades! There's so many ways to switch things up too.

I love denim rag quilts, if you want to piece a more "traditional" pattern make sure to use a bigger seam allowance! Someone gave my SIL a pretty denim rag quilt, but it frayed out in a couple of washings.
