I agree with your thoughts. I love this board and so appreciate the advise and assistance everyone has given me as I try to learn the art of quilting.

I am a fairly new quilter, and have looked forward to reading this board every day….generous ladies and no judgment
of anyone…..keep it going.

Hehe, I enjoyed my local guild but there were a few stinkers who did from time to time make me feel uncomfortable or unwelcome. I love these online forums so much as we are truly all here for our love of quilting and interest in learning!

This board is also my quilt guild. I love it here. I don't have time to go to meetings and keep up with a guild because I work full time so I will spend my quilting time here.

This is my guild too. It is simply not convenient with my current schedule and life to go to a guild. Yes, thank you all for being my guild.

I learn something new each day that I come onto the forum. And the best part is I can do it in my pajamas! Thanks to all of you.

Where I live, there is no quilting guild. At least I never heard of this. Also we germans have it in our blood better to stay alone. Of course many germans sewing along. But alone please!!! ha ha
I would give it a try, if something like this would exist in the near. But of course this group here is much better as real life ever could be. Though i don't post here much, I spent much time here because of much inspiration, input from the professionals, good and quick help, 24/7 availability ... and don't forget the fun! I like it here and i like you all and would also say, that this is my quilting guilt.

First thing I do when I get up in morning is make my tea and come here. Where else can you go for so much information, fun and relaxation.
