Opinion please-I just relooked at my fabric and I have come up with 4 that have white backgrounds and one that has a black. Will this be a problem using these fabrics or should I go and pick up another one or two with black background? What do you think?

Well, looking at mine, I have at least one more dark value than light. So we'll probably even each other out.

It will be fine  It was black fabric with white designs or white fabric with black designs . I have both . No worries .

pin each set together and label (so you don't label 70, just 14). A set will have 5 different bricks in it.

Clear as mud?

See its all good

What is everyone going to do with their bricks when they get them? I am still trying to decide?

My thoughts are still half-formed... (when are they not!?) but, if I feel like cutting more, I may do a tumbler type quilt. I want to see what kinds of patterns are on the bricks, too, as that may speak to me...

I do a raffle quilt every year for AFSP. The walk is "Out of the Darkness". Last year I participated in the black and white block swap and turned it into the raffle quilt. It was awesome!

So I'm going to take the bricks and use the pattern from quiltville- bricks and cobblestones, make the cobblestones from 2 shades of blue and do "out of the darkness" again. I think it will be aweome once again!

(And this gets me many bricks with different patterns so my quilt will be very variegated.)
