April, thinking of you - I can't imagine the problems you are having, but pray that they will abate soon.

Hi, Well I didn't receive any F8's yesterday's mail but I got one today from Rosebud. I mailed all my F8's out yesterday (10-4). Everybody I think got a different piece of material. I' just going to make a very scrappy quilt when I get my blocks back so do whatever you think is good with the material.

I have decided that since I didn't want to mess up your material while making the blocks I thought I would make a block for myself using Halloween material (why I didn't send that I don't know I changed my mind about what to send at least 3 times if not more). I figure this way I can practice making the block before usng your material. I'll take pictures of both quilts when I finish them next year after the swap is finished.

You will never be sorry you did, it is such a rewarding feeling!

Today I met with a new customer, one I met through this site. I am so excited to be making 4 memory lap quilts for a wonderful sweet lady who lost her mother this year. For Christmas she is having me make a keepsake quilt for each of her siblings, I will have a busy holiday season, and that is wonderful! It is really a wonderful thing to give someone a little comfort.

It got cold here in SoCal today, fall is really in the air, I just hope the snow stays away for a little longer!
Mary; you are doing a very nice thing by making those keepsake quilts for others. I have bits and pieces of my mothers wedding dress and my dad's suit, some of us children's baby outfits, dad's shirts, ect. I keep thinking I ought to make a small memory quilt for my Mom( and ultimately ME). She will be 90 Oct. 28 and lives alone. She taught me to sew and quilt. I am so blessed!

April, prayers being said for you. I suffer from migraines and I just could not imagine the ordeal you must be going through. May you be surrounded by angels!

Great idea to be making blocks to keep out of other fabric as well as making the blocks for others. Think I will do that!

Sew happy someone finally got my fabric!!

April: so very sad you aren't feeling well and not like yourself. Praying for relief of your pain and that you are able to do some things you love doing. Hugs!

Received 1 f8 today and it belongs to...babyruth. It is very pretty and bright, love the animals on it. I first thought it was 2 cats but after more inspecting I think it is a cat and a dog.

I received one F8 today from hoppyfrog! This one will be fun to do--I have lots of brights I can use with it!!

********Here's a site with free quilt block patterns and you can search by size of blocks--this link should take you to the 12" blocks list in alphabetical order by name.
