joanelizbay I lay it on the ironning board, spray it with starch and let it dry. Then I iron it and proceed to cut and sew. I feel it helps me in acuracy.
Enjoy the tea dye fabric. Besure to post your Civil War quilt creations. It is nice to share a comon interest and love.
Your DIL's quilt is stunning and a labor of love. I trust she enjoys it.

Anna, she only saw it before it was quilted in May and hasnt seen it since its finished. I know she will love it. I gave them one for Christmas a year ago in black/red/beigh and she wanted a lighter color one for summer/spring....ooops I missed that by a couple months! LOL. She wants my one with the Civil War panels but its MINE...however I did buy 4 more North and South panels just in case I get the urge to make her one! LOL. Let me know if there is a Civil War Block Swap anywhere that you hear of! I might try that starching trick..it sure makes for good feeling fabric!
