Missing blocks from Cuppy, Dottie Dodge, Lovingisabelle, Lovngrandma, missgigglewings Navarre, Ok Darla Scrapper and Tracibug. Sorry to hear about Roseysue! Give her my best!
Used my Go to cut the hearts. Then just folded fabrics and placed edges at creases.worked like a charm for placement.

Ehmmmm.....what meant to say was....Yes! I am an expert at cutting out hearts and perfectly placing them!!!!

So, now I guess it is confession time. My daughter, Sarah (10 y/o), loved your fabric and begged to make your block. she knew exactly what she wanted, but got it a little small, so I bordered it. She has been sewing since she was 5....

My 8 year old granddaughter wants to sew and I bought her one of those battery operated machines for kids but its not worth the effort so I want to teach her to sew on my machine. Im terrified she will sew her fingers together or something! LOL You make some really pretty blocks! I have to ask..what is your "GO"?? I cant just see a picture and think how to make the block..its aggravating cause I have to have specific measurements, instructions etc. I have a book called 501 quilt blocks and some of them are beautiful but there are NO instructions or measurements at all.

The GO is the accuquilt Go. Cuts shapes...was a christmas present. As for the book, just get graph paper and draft it from the picture. I have several books like yours...nothing a pencil, paper, and a ruler can't fix!. Sarah has her own sewing machine from Santa....he gave this and supplies to make a simple quilt. If your grandkid uses a machine that has speed control, slow it down ( I can do this still with my foot pedal). She now can control speed on her machine with her foot pedal.

Guess me and my old Singer are behind times...Ive heard of accquilt but never seen it in action! I should have bought the singer that Hobby Lobby had on sale at Christmas for her so Ill watch for another one on sale. Her mother doesnt sew and my son isnt home much during the day...maybe this summer on school break would be a good time to teach her.
She wants to make a quilt of her own! Im ALL FOR teaching them crafts and sewing and anything else they show an interest in just to see if they like it, even the boys. My 8 year old grandson loves to operate the footfeed when Im sewing. His dad (my son) loves to sew and to latch rugs and needlepoint...and I encourage it!
