Dwina, what a great photo! Love the boats! Wish I lived in Maine ... it's our favorite place. Sorry to hear about your FIL. Those infections are nasty. Hope he rallies quickly so he can go home!

Dwina, thanks for sharing the photo of your boats. What an incredibly rugged and wonderful profession your family has chosen. Maine has always appealed to me. Alas, I am way too old to do anything about that now. Too old and tired to be rugged. lol

Lynnie, so glad you are on the mend. The flu have really been bad around here, also.
Dwina, so sorry to hear about your FIL. Hope he if beginning to feel better with meds and probably IVs. Your boat pic is beautiful but makes me shiver all over. It was 60 here today and 57 tomorrow and going down to 29 tomorrow night. I can't hardly deal with cold weather anymore. I, too, am too old and not rugged enough. Stay warm and well...

Linda, some of us are just nuts and jump ahead. I for one would like to be 6 months aheadof time. I cme down with the flu this week. thank goodness, I was all ready for this month. don't let that worry you. please come join us. we're a good bunch of people here. very nice.

Dwina, sorry to hear about your fil, but I guess he' s where they can help him the most. love the boats. I'm impressed that your husband mad the boat. that's great that he can do things like that. he does the 'hard stuff' and you do the soft stuff. that's just terrific! glad we got to see the boats, and that they are safe too. more snow for us tonight and Monday.

Dwina it is so interesting seeing those boats, and very impressive the boat your husband built.

Karen what is a feather tree? Cute shamrocks.

Dwina those boats are really something and to think that your DH built one himself is very impressive. Just say NO to the snow that is coming. I got about 3" today and already went out to shovel and it's still snowing so I'll have to go back out when it stops. I hope that your FIL is feeling better. I swear when my DM was in the hospital that I got something like bronchitis that lasted 2 months. Those shamrocks are just too cute. I know that Clover has a lot of different shapes for the yoyos. I wanted a heart one but JA didn't have one. I guess I make my hexies different. I use the punch to cut out the shape on old envelopes and then I sew the fabric onto the paper. I like the thinner paper so it bends easier.
Everyone have a great day

I make my hexies like Pat does. I sew the fabric onto the paper. I've been using old file folders. If the fabric is glued to the paper, how do you take the paper out once you sew them together? I'm new at this so please forgive the stupid questions.
