I once mailed a birthday card to my Mom in NE, now keep in mind I live in MN and can drive there in 7 hours, and it took it over 30 days to get to her.

Just a thought for swap hostesses. Maybe in addition to supplying an envelope we should also supply a large zip lock baggie with an address label. That way if something should happen and the originl packaging is destroyed our address is still on the contents.

Red, thank you for hosting. This is a lot of work, and you were great to work with.

Also for future reference, the Post Office will give you tracking slips when you pay for the postage. However, it is up to you to keep track of which one you send where.

I did pay for postage and put the stamps right on the envelope in front of him and he told me that the tracking number would be put on when it was mailed... But you have to take it in not pop it in the mail box.. But it is what it is. I just hope it finds it way to me someday. But I have more problems than this to worry about.

I've been in reds swaps before and never had a problem..I can wish a lot right now and it's not going to bring the blocks... I don't want red feeling any worse than she does. It happened and we learn from this... Enough said. Not feeling good right now ...

Please keep us posted owlvamp. I am sure they will show up. Gee, this has been such a stressful mishap.

I would like to take the time to thank everyone who has been so supportive to owlvamp and to me during this trouble. It is nice to know that so many sweet ladies really care about each other in our swaps.

Hi Owlie, I'm still holding out hope that your blocks will arrive soon. My offer still holds.

I have been playing with my blocks. I think I have my general layout. Now, I just need to make a few filler blocks.

I want to Thank all of you for your very special blocks. I am just waiting for one special block to arrive and to finish my skeleton then I will be all ready to assemble my quilt. I sure hope to get this finished as soon as possible.

Once again, thanks Red. I have had a blast playing. I LOVE Halloween!

What a great looking layout Judith1005. Such a nice variety of types of blocks and colours. I especially like the skeleton waving at us all. "Greetings at Halloween"

I love that skeleton Judith. Where did you get the pattern? Love framing stein and the witch one to. Might have to make one of those.

Okay Ladies,

I think this is the layout that I am going with. I put in lime green spiderweb fabric in the spots that need 3 1/2 x
6", 3 1/2 x 9" or 3 1/2 x 12" strips. I went a bit plainer because I thought my quilt was already a bit busy. Plus, I'm hoping to use 6" Halloween crazy quilt blocks that I made a few years ago for the border. (We'll see how it looks when I audition the blocks.) This morning, I'm finishing up an extra Halloween block for someone who generously offered me a trade for one of hers. (I was just drooling over one of her blocks, I just had to have one.) And am madly working on my skeleton block.
