square to make knot is 2 1/2 inches.
Directions to make block: Sew one side of the small square(right sides together) to one corner of the print square, matching edges. Continue with the tie by sewing the other side of the small square to other print block, again matching edges.
When you have completed the tie, insert the white on the opposite side of the bow tie, matching edges as with the print.
When the white is sewed into the other side of the bow tie, the block is finished.
Pressing each seam as you work is very important in this pattern. Press all printed bow tie seams toward the white background.
2 Bow Ties sewed together. Another 2 8 inch blocks should be placed so it makes a 15 inch square
1 single 8 inch Bow Tie
3 pattern pieces. These blocks are 2 of several I have made for a gift to a granddaughter. It will be a double bed size. The black & white one is for me.
