MONTHLY QUILTING BEE BLOCK SWAP - Version II
#9841
oksewnsew, I have been doing my blocks that way for a couple of yrs. Dids not know it had a fancy name. It just made sense to me and was a whole lot easier. Also you are only handling the block once( or so).
Great job putting Robert's I should say Cathy's quilt together

Thanks Jean, the sashing makes sense. Really doesn't matter if you do top or bottom, right or left, as long as you're consistent and do a vertical and a horizontal both. Just changes which sides of the finished body that you have to add the long strips to. Or am I confused? It adds cutting but saves time trying to piece long sides strips together to get the right length, measuring that long length, etc. Thanks for the instructions. I"ll try it next time I need sashing!

hsquiltingmom,
your cute blocks arrived yesterday. Thank You so much. I love them. Mine to waved to each other at post office.
One block is a gecko, other is an ant with a baseball bat in hands. very original
