i agree about a simple swap. everyone likes goodies i'm sure, but this may not actually be the place for them. i'll send a little something once in awhile, but i'm usually so happy to be finished on time, and packing it and getting it mailed, that i forget to add a little something. i never expect anything extra, and i'm perfectly happy with that, too. i do like the little notes people often enclose. i am trying to follow that example! extras do add up and i think most of us are on a fixed or limited budget and feeling the stress of having to keep up with the joneses takes away from the fun of the swap. no one asked, but that's my opinion, and it's worth every cent you paid for it, too!!

I plan to put something in with my packages, but the first swap I just couldn't wait for her to see it once I decided to ship (after I was irritated the quilting didn't turn out just how I wanted it), and I left the closing & shipping of the 2nd package to my son & he still hasn't told me what he put in (I told him to get some kind of Valentine's day candy though.)

Since I ended up with 6 spools of white thread from Denmark that I really like, I think I'm going to share one of them with Nancia when I send her runner. Oh, and if any of my swap buddies loves micro-scraps, let me know. I've been keeping a bucket by the sewing table & will happily share. Otherwise, they may turn into mug rugs for unsuspecting people, lol.

Keeping up with the Joneses mostly leads to dissatisfaction As a first time swapper, I did not feel pressure to add any extras but I did send a vintage thrifty find! Never felt that was expected though - just a great swap all round! Thx again.

ok didnt mean to start a fire there lol. I just was feeling the pressure last few times and this month especially feels like its Christmas.. where is all the money going??? gone fling right out the window it appears because it is not in my checking account. birthdays, holidays always make it a bit tight. sorry if my issues here came out of my mouth plop onto the board in a random way. I don't want to hurt anyones feelings. sheesh last thing I would want to do.

as to the rugs did they all go home? how many did not receive yet? at this point waiting around for senders unless they say they are sending is silly. Whats the score dear woman? so sorry about your cold. I had to take an hour drive to the clinic yesterday. My driver says cant touch anything (she normally opens the car door) because she is seriously down with a massive head cold. GET ME OUTTA THE CAR!! HELPPPP shoot she locked the doors.. ahhh. does she wear a mask? no. she said she woke up with it which means this was her lucky 24 hour most contagious period. no colds allowed is my motto. for anyone. I eat that apple every morning and evening. I sure hope it works. maybe I need three today?

    Nelco,

Unless Jen (jenilope96) had more than 1 partner, I KNOW she received hers. I posted
    pictures of it.

Here's a pic of what I sent to atpegsquiltstudio (Margaret). My first MR I've ever made. She PMd me to say she received it. Still trying to learn how to FMQ.
