November - February 2016 Wall Hanging Swap

Just want to share this with everyone. I received this package in the mail and was surprised it made it to my door. I am only showing part of one of the addresses but but both were illegible. This came a long, long distance to reach me. Please be aware of how you label your packages if you don't want them lost in transit. I also add the addresses inside a waterproof bag in the packages in case of damage so the post office has the info. Not shown is part of the address rewritten, just the last name and zip.
I really don't know how this made it my house. Isn't the USPS awesome.

Hey ube - I had indeed put the batting and backing on my WH but lucky for you, I had made a test block using the cathedral Windows. The concept is the same - you attach in a clockwise fashion around the block - its just that the Window uses a square and the Star uses a pattern that Shelley provided in her book.

WOW ... that is bizarre because that is the INSIDE envelope! It smeared on me in the post office so I bought another envelope and put that one inside and the clerk at the post office printed a new label for me using her label maker for your address on the outside envelope!
SO ... someone opened the first envelope ... very bizarre! At least it made it there!

Very weird indeed about the envelope but we are happy it worked out.
JNCT, Thanks for showing the quilt back. This is one more reason that people don't finish them like regular quilts. The back is a finished look after pressing the seams under and whip stitching the openings.
Shows us that either any way you want to finish it off works. I love it!

So I have completed my wall hanging for this swap! It's a SUCCESSFUL applique!
How do I rotate? I don't see an option to rotate it in the edit, and it's not like this on my computer? DANG, I'm such a twit with technology LOL

well I am trying to decide if I want to jump in or not. I am working on a mini wall hanging that was supposed to be a gift but my plans got changed. so now I am thinking do I want to join in here? This one won't be more than 12-14" in size but it is a wall hanging. Such decisions! I really don't need more little quilts but then when do we ever Need one? I just love getting things made by others. I only have around 20 doll quilts but I also joined a small quilt swap. Sooo what do I want to do??? LOL
Here is a peek at what I am working on. Of course it is one of my original designs.
