[QUOTE=TOOMANYUFO'S;6955072]Rosemary what part of Maine is your friend from? I like knitting different types of dishcloths, but I have one on my needles that I hate knitting. It's about a third done. Guess i'll work on that this evening.

My friend Debbie lives in West Gardiner Maine,, she said she got 6 inches and it stopped last night about 8 PM.. Dry roads today and possibly rain tomorrow evening... What pattern are you knitting??? Is it just a plain dishcloth, I just do the plain square ones starting with 4 stitches and going to 42 and then back down to 4... What size needles do you use, I like the bamboo ones...

Rosemary your friend lives about 3hrs from me. I make all kinds of dishcloths. I have made the plain ones, but enjoy making the ones with patterns. I've got to make a dog, cat and chicken dishcloths for my granddogs to give their goomer for a Christmas present. May make a couple for the vet as well. I just type in free knitted dishcloth patterns. There are a ton out there for free. I use size 5 sometimes 6 needles. I also knit by the rows not the graphs. I just think it is easier.

So glad to hear everyone made it through the storm. Nothing here in Wyoming yet but it will come sooner or later I'm sure. Chilly tonight 35 deg. so far and dropping. Hubby has the fireplace running, pretty toasty!
Mailed to both of my partner's today

Yes Pat that is it. The little piece I have is roving. So that is what you do is find the wool garment or whatever, and then wash and dry, and it's ready. That sounds great.

Lynnie I hate those flat tires.

Hi Karen. Well first me and my husband had to go vote. lol... Then I went down to my dad's house to get some more of my mother's things (a basket, yarn, and some more fabric ). Unfortunately, my dad is back in the hospital, and then back into the nursing home, but he will be staying this time unless something changes that I am not aware of. It's a difficult time. I will be working some more on my needle book today, and hope to get it postal in the next couple of days. It's in the low 60's today, and sun shining.

Have a great day everyone!

I have made my pincushion, but am waiting on my felt to finish my needlecase. This has been fun! I overwhelmed myself a bit, adding this swap to my two other holiday ones, but am glad I joined. Some people work well under pressure.....I just degrade.......haha

Rosemary, I love the bamboo needles too. Haven't knitted in a long time. Not to good at it.
I crochet the washcloths. Made over 70 of them, I just give them as gifts.
I love how they feel, nice and soft. I use cotton.
voted today and mailed yesterday. hopefully some nice photos soon.
we should have a washcloth swap

I took mother to her appt, then came back here to rake my yard, then of course Isabella didn't have school so she was here all day, took her to the library, let the dogs out, went to get something to eat, then went on the ride, then got some groceries, oh I did vote at 10. Then when I came back at 1:30 I raked again, and while she was on my computer I was upstairs working on the pc's. I bet I won't be able to move tomorrow. It was 65 today but very windy so raking was not good. I heard the s word for the beginning of next week. I better get my shovel soon.

Here's a pic of the pin that is usually made from sheet music and then the paper pumpkin made from scrapbook paper.
