No one has to worry about the type felt for me, but others may have preferences. I have also used other things like warm and natural is that the one? Anyway what I used was good. I would love a load of the all wool, but it is so expensive. If I was making one for a one time deal then it would be ok. lol....

Dwina you and your family be safe during this weather.

These days we have strange weather for sure. My husband Gene is from Texas, and the first year he was here, he was working with some kids at school, and they told him there was some snow flurries outside (it was October), and he thought they were making that up. He went to the window to look outside and couldn't believe it. He wasn't use to seeing snow.

I am getting ready to start on my needle book. I have begun a few other projects for swaps, and have the first of one swap done today, so now I am off to work on the needle book.

This is the first year since mom passed away that I am really looking forward to the holidays.

What do you do with the wool sweater to use it Mrs. Shak? I mean do you cut it up, then wash it, and put it in the dryer and it shrinks or whatever to prepare it? I enjoy any tips I get. I might have one laying around to use.

Rosemary, I love your purses and snowmen. I want someday to make another one of those purses. I know a lot of work goes into them, but they are so nice when finished. I first need to see if I have all the pattern pieces.

Pat you got some more goodies. It is fun finding things you want or can use for something else. Do you ever fix some of them how you want, and sell them? You may have said before, but I don't have a great memory these days.

I usually wash and dry (felt)the whole sweater and then cut it. I use the sweater for bags, headbands, boot cuffs, wrist warmers or mittens. You could cut a piece off and hand wash/felt it.

The storm is way worse than we expected. We have had hail, sleet and snow, but the wind is horrible. DH and DD boats are on the mooring, hope and pray they will be alright. All the men keep traveling over here to the marina and shining truck headlight out onto the water, trying to see that there boats are alright. Some of the island has lost power, ours keeps flickering. My neighbor called and said he was ready for Florida, me too! lol.

I use wool felt and get it on ebay. You can pick the colors and sizes you want. The person I get mine from has two types, I buy the one with more wool in it for the same price it is also a little thicker.

Great job on the handbags.

Maine is really getting hit. I hope everyone stays safe, and hoping no damage.

Thanks Dwina for the tip on ebay for buying wool felt. I just went there, and that is where I will be buying felt (wool) from here on out.
