Well, I went to the PO in fact I stopped at two different ones. I had the 4-1/8" x 9-1/2" envelope with me. They told me that it would cost me $1.95 each one just because I had a small piece of fabric in there and it wasn't considered a letter it was considered a parcel. She told me if I want to take the chance and put 65 cents on it as it only weighed an ounce, but they might catch it at the other end and know that it isn't a letter in there and would charge the difference to who it is going to. Now I don't know what I want to do. I definitely don't want to put $2.00 worth of postage on each envelope as that would be $30.00 in postage. What do you all suggest that I do? Please let me know. When she felt the envelope she knew there was not a letter in it. Help me any suggestions.

pbadder, If you plan to write a note with each one then wrap it around the fabric so they will feel the crinkle of it instead of the fabric ;) Much better chances! Maybe find a couple people in your group willing to be test subjects and send to them to see if they got charged? (If we get the same group you can test on me.)

Hopefully someone a bit more know how will know what to do!

pbadder, I wrap my fabric in the press n' seal cling wrap stuff. Then I put a note in for each person. No issues when I do that. Usually it is 65 cents for me to mail like that. :)

I've received several that are in the press n' seal with a piece of copy paper wrapped around it and I get those for right around 65 cents also.

Thanks for the compliments on my fabric! :) I'll be glad to do a side swap as long as I have enough extra fabric (I should). :)

Fabric.com calls it "Marrakesh", and it's made by Fabric Traditions. It shows that they're out of stock now, but here's a link if anyone needs more information: https://www.fabric.com/ProductDetail...0-5907c0f1c1d5

Love the green paisleys!

I fold my fabric the length of the business size envelope and fold the edges in. Use good quality envelopes, sometimes dollar tree has the cheap thin ones so ,pay a few cents more and buy a good box of envelopes. Make sure you spray starch your fabric it before mailing and it will prevent from bunching up and help keep it flat.. I also send a letter the size of envelope, makes it more firm and flat. Postmaster wants to make sure it is flat like a letter.

So are we close to another count? Seeing all this fabric makes me want to play with it - and not do what I should be doing!!

pbadder....I live in So. Cal... I would suggest to go to another PO. The reason being is that The different Post Office around me give me different prices......not only that the clerks in the post office will quote different prices. My closest P.O. gives me the fairest price.....65Cents. As long as it fits in that little slot thing they have it is a go. Doesn't matter if it is material or a letter. But even in my closest P.O., one of the clerks wants to charge me parcel price and she is not a pleasant person. I thought it was me that thought that but happily I heard others complain about her. Anyways....try a different branch and see what they say.
I too am excited about playing with all the fabric that has been shown so far. I am getting excited.

All of the F8s I have received in the last 3 swaps that had a 45cent (or was it 46?) stamp on it came without any postage due on my part. I swapped out about 55 in the last swap and about 80% came with a regular 1st class forever stamp.

Hello Everyone,
I have made lots of friends through this swap so I am wondering if you all could take a moment to look at this thread and let me know if any of you can help. Thanks so much!
