I got all but 2 of my fabrics yesterday. I can't speak for the two I still need to purchase (I went with faulty #'s) but everything (so far) is from the Civil Wars Tribute fabric line. The cool thing for me is I have the CWT BOM (not finished - heck, not started) so this swap will blend nicely with that quilt (if I ever finish (or start) it).

Yes, yes, yes I am.......I find that if these are made one little set at a time - there isn't any pressure at all!

And if you want to make all of your blocks out of only two or three fabrics total, that is okay with me as well. No need for 6-7-8 different fabrics.

OK, I'm in! I like making blocks and the T-Block always beckons me!

rwquilts 07-28-2012 07:43 AM

It was very clever of Deb to only have us make 4 Double T blocks...that's entirely do-able. I am done with that set...now drumming my fingers waiting for the postman to bring me my new "old" fabrics! LOL! Course they have to be washed and then I can made my other 2 sets. This has been super fun so far. :)

Yeah we "twisted her (jillnjo's) arm"--er I mean convinced her it would be a good thing. Welcome.
This morning have been putting the Double T's together. I have my setting already planned and plan on adding a couple of other blocks to round out the design. Oh and those leftover HST's from the DT flying geese--what are you going to do with them?

I'm making tiny pinwheel blocks from mine...perfect for the AAQI quilts or that perfect little accent block. What are you doing with yours?

jillnjo 07-28-2012 07:57 AM

G.- Yes, you all are to blame!! I have 2 other swaps I've sent out my blocks for already and I fear my problem will become getting quilts made out of the blocks I collect! I like the suspense of seeing the blocks everyone makes and then getting them for myself! I like to "touch" fabrics, you know!

rwquilts-- I was thinking something like this.
Shoofly corners, F ship star, Churn dash corners, broken dishes, or how about using making this spool block with scrappy string threads in the middle. They would finish at 3 1/4" if the HST are 1 3/4 cut.

Oh have I just created another project!

jillnjo we just want you to join in
 and experience yet again the joys of fondling fabric!:D
