Ok everyone, I know of a cabin on the Boulder River in Montana that would be ideal. Our family cabin, no cost to any of us. We just need the food. We can all set up and there is a quilt shop down the road about 30 minutes. It has the best inspiration with a creek right beside it that flows so nicely. I am not sure of the flooding issue there, but we can light a fire to keep us warm. With all of us ladies, there will be warmth in our hearts and quilts to snuggle under, no prob. Now, how can I get off work for 30 days and away from family to just have fun with you gals. Someone have an idea?

How long do you usually spend from start to finish turning your block, doing the swapping, and then finally getting it put into your own quilt?

I usually have the blocks laid out the first week and sewn by the second week. If I have the funds it gets sent to a long arm quilter within 3-6mo because I have too many tops if I wait.

WOW! Montana! That sounds wonderful! You figure out a way for us all to slip away and we'll all go! LOL Maybe we can call it some kind of Deep cleansing mental seminar or something.....we'd be in a better mental state when we got back that is for sure! ;) I love to cook if I have ingredients!! :)

Angie S will be the chef for the get a way, the nearest airport is either bozeman or livingston I believe. We can figure a way to car pool. If you fly into Spokane, we can ride from here to there, enjoy the ride, hit all the quilt shops on our way to Big Timber, our own little Shop Hop, being sure to pick up some chocolate and coffee on the way. It is a beautiful drive. Sounda like a trip to me.

If AngieS makes dinner, I'll make dessert. I think we should get a couple of convertibles for the drive and of course something else to haul all of our purchases in. Do you think we need a butler/driver? I'll start packing. My vacation is the end of July perfect time for a trip to the mountains. Bet it is beautiful!

I am probably getting laid off either this week or next...but I do have that whole thing of having 5 kids....think they can manage on their own? Will have to call in a Nanny or something! ;) Yeah, dessert sounds good. I don't usually do dessert...
