Lucky me, I had a three day weekend and was able to get most of the background done for your landscape WH.
This is my first attempt at this style of "painting" a background for a landscape quilt. It is similar to what is called a water color quilt. Please, feel free to make comments on this so I can make changes if needed before I sew it together. Thank you all for any comments to help improve your WH There will be an applique of something that represents spring in the foreground when finished. Wow -- love this, Ube. Love the sun! There are places in it that make me think of hot air balloons floating over the countryside, too.

Oh that's so pretty! !!

Here is another Spinning Star - this one is for my mom for Christmas.

JNCT14, that is so charming. This pattern has a lot of motion as the star swirls around the block. I really like the pattern and will do something using it too, someday! The sun flowers are great.

ube love that wall hanging! its gorgeous! love the colors, the sun placement, the field of flowers :) with the bottom rows.. its truly a visual delight.
today I started got the background for my wall quilt cut and half sewn. Going with the cow on colorful background.. now do I do a black and white cow or a brown cream cow or do I do a goofy colored cow? the background is all different shades of green to represent the grassy fields.. but the cow he can be normal or he can be goofy .. hum.. think I had one taker for the scrappy cow concept.. opinions opinions!! |
Brat, you could do a whole herd of cows...
|
Any colors would be great I'm sure. but this Iowa girl knows cows are not "he" lol they are she's unless you are making a bull. :D

I love black and white cows. But multi colored are cool from what I have seen in Chicago.

I vote for whimsy, imho. From your previous posts it really sounds like that is what you want to do, so have some fun with her or them. I like the idea of a herd. peace |
