Hi, all! Sorry for being MIA. I went on vacation, developed pneumonia and my MIL had open heart surgery. Sherry, I can send you fabric if you need. I did receive Barbara's row. I have to rethink my plan. I don't think it works. First have to finish Jane's. I needed more, brighter fabric because I don't have a lot of brights. I haven't caught up on everything but will try to later.
MIL is still in the hospital and I am still a mess. Skipping my quilt group tonight. I have done no sewing since April. I will be back later this week. MaryLane |
Mary, hope your MIL is feeling better. Get some rest. My prayers are with you and your family. Send fabric that you would like used and I will try to use it in a way that you will love. Hugs, Sherry

Good grief Mary...doesn't sound like a vacation to me. Rest, get well and prayers for both you and your MIL's speedy recovery.

Love that beach quilt! Those surf boards look like fun and great to ride. June 1 is vast approaching, is everyone ready? Wow, last row and we will get them home to see our beautiful rows of beauty.

Sherry...went back and reread last few pages...no more ideas for vintage tools...sorry.....did think about "posters" in a sewing room that said things like, "Stash", "Sew", "1/4 Seam Allowance", "Press", "Bobbin".....didn't know if this would interest you or not...could be done in applique.........

Hey, girls!
Been in the Caribbean all last week, so I've missed a lot here. Mary, sorry about your MIL--hope she gets better real soon. I LOVE my beach quilt!! You've all amazed me with your ideas and skill--can't wait to get it back. I've got to get busy and finish the night quilt. Hope you and your loved ones are safe in this crazy weather--Barbara |
I do not have a way to make any words on fabric, Yvonne.

What size of letters are you looking for? Here are some applique letters of Pat Sloan. Check out her website, she has great ideas, some awesome tutes, and wonderful free patterns to test out.
http://patsloan.typepad.com/files/pa...bet-shapes.pdf I bet you could resize them to smaller if you wanted them to be . Also, Pigma pens are great for writing on the fabric. I use a fine piece of sand paper underneath to write on top of. |
Sherry you didn't say whether or not you had received the small pkg of fabric...(????????????)
