I will be waiting for the mail.

NanaKathy55 just to let you know that I finished your doll quilt and it will be going out in tomorrows mail. I hope you like it. I took a picture of it. When you let me know that you got it I will post it here for everyone to see it. I really had fun doing this.

Wow -- these quilts are fantastic!!! Daughter finally has things under control with new baby, so I have a breather until her DH goes back to work next week. That finally gives me time to sew. I want to shout to the world how much I admire and respect my son-in-law after watching him in action with new mom and baby. He hasn't left her side for more than 5 minutes since this whole episode started. So far I think she's only changed one diaper (only a wet one, too). He's done things for her I never would have asked my DH to do at the time, and he's totally unbelievable with the baby. Wow!! Where were these guys when we were looking for mates? Seems this new generation of dads is really hands-on. I'm so glad baby has his dimples and possibly his blue eyes. He deserves it!.

hey everyone, as for spring, anyond started spring cleaning? awww, how can we get rid of stuff?! I have accumliated stuff ,I know the three pile thing but decisions, decisions. and to throw something away! really not easy as it sounds, yeah good will ,salvation army etc, anyone else have that problem, do you get rid of excess material, scraps etc?? got my sewing room to do too.

Definitely need to get going on spring cleaning. I have sort of started but it is still pretty cold here so the bug hasn't bitten me yet. Get rid of fabric? NEVER! I will share if anyone needs it but I have never taken it to Goodwill. I have a very hard time getting rid of things..when I do I get them out of the house in a hurry or I go back and take them out of the boxes. I am really not a hoarder but I do collect way to many things.

Pretty quilts difergie and paperpieceme! Finished already? I'm still planning, if the ideas would stop coming I might be able to settle on one and just do it, lol. I always plan to take the entire month to get my quilt done. Luvstoquilt, don't expect a squishy anytime soon. :)

Take all the time you need! I finished mine..I am still scared I won't get it done in time. I worked way too many years and always had a "deadline" to meet. Now in retirement I still can't seem to settle down and just relax a bit. Ahhhh, habits of a lifetime are hard to break. Your squishy is on the way as of this morning!

WOW!1 I am not the only one. My kids and DH sometimes help me. They will get rid of things for me, if I ask them to. I decided to get rid of some clothes that don't fit any more. Did really good, emptied several dozen hangers. Then I went to the living room to fold the stuff. Pulled a few items back, they MIGHT fit. Then a friend came and she was no help at all. "are you sure you want to get rid of this"? No, but YES! Took a couple more back. My oh My!! Fabric?!?!?!?!?!?!? No way!! I can gift it to someone I know will use it. Sometimes. I am getting better, through this board.

Quilting on my DQ is coming along nicely, although more would get done if I wasn't hooked on Candy Crush Saga on Facebook :)

Any fabric and fabric scraps that I don't use goes to a good friend who uses them to create some amazing art quilts. I have given some fabric over the years to the local aged care home for the residents to make little items for their annual fair. DH announced the other day that I shouldn't buy too much more fabric after he had stepped into his mom's sewing room and was astounded at the sheer volume of fabrics she has accumulated over the years...much of which will come to me. She's nearly 80 so I hope she keeps sewing for many years to come

Here is the 30 x 30 which will now be a table topper for me. Never realized while I was sewing how big it was getting.
