I am washing my back ground fabric this morning! So many neat patterns to choose from, I LOVE SUE & SAM!

I have a roll of depression repro fabrics that are perfrect for this. They are 5" ? strips from RJR Fabrics. I don't want to prewash the cut strips. Can I soak & hand wash to meet the prewash requirements?
